Sriracha Deviled Eggs

This is my recipe for Sriracha deviled eggs.  I make this for every Court of Honor and they disappear quickly.  Using Sriracha cuts down on the amount of mayo you need, so I suppose that this is somewhat healthier.  It is definitely tastier.  This is also a very inexpensive dish to make for pot luck type affairs. Ingredients 1 dozen eggs pinch of salt 1/8 tsp mustard powder 3 Tbsp mayo 4 Tbsp Sriracha sauce paprika (to sprinkle) Equipment pot with lid knife cutting board fork whisk rubber spatula paper towel 1 gallon resealable freezer bag 3 cup measuring cup or similar sized bowl scissors deviled egg plate (optional) If you're an old hand at deviled eggs, you probably don't need to read any further.  But if you are new to this, we'll go through it step by step.  Put your eggs in a pot and add enough water to cover them plus a pinch of salt.  When they come to a boil, turn off the heat and put on the lid.  Let sit for 15 minutes.  Put t

Saw Sheath

Using a section of old garden hose split down the middle as a sheath for a bow saw is not a new trick.  I'm not going to claim the credit for this one.    However, most people seem to have trouble getting the thing to stay stay on.  There is a simple fix.  Put the sheath on by placing the slit over the back side of the saw.  Then rotate it so that the split part is on the side of the blade, as seen in the image above.  I'm sure somebody else has already figured this out, but I have never seen anyone do it this way.  Now your makeshift sheath will stay on the saw.
