Saw Sheath
Using a section of old garden hose split down the middle as a sheath for a bow saw is not a new trick. I'm not going to claim the credit for this one. However, most people seem to have trouble getting the thing to stay stay on. There is a simple fix.
Put the sheath on by placing the slit over the back side of the saw. Then rotate it so that the split part is on the side of the blade, as seen in the image above. I'm sure somebody else has already figured this out, but I have never seen anyone do it this way. Now your makeshift sheath will stay on the saw.

Good idea. We've always tied it on with a couple of constrictor lnots.
